- Wedding: August 2013
Sooo, I just got my boudoir pics in, and I am SO HAPPY with them! I used this chance to do a hair and makeup trial. I’m just asking about makeup here, because I’m not going to use that hairstyle for the wedding.
So basically, when I first got my makeup done, I thought it looked great in person. It was a little heavy on the foundation for my taste (but that’s because I don’t wear any on a regular day), but I knew that was necessary for good photos. When I got home from my boudoir shoot, however, I looked in the mirror and I definitely felt like my foundation was WAY to heavy and far too obvious in person.
As much as I want my wedding day photos to look flawless, I don’t want to be hugging people and rubbing makeup all over their clothes the whole day! And I’m afraid my makeup will melt off during the day because our wedding day is in August and it’s hopefully going to be nice a warm. Not to mention, I’m going to be crying. I just know it. My MUA told me that her makeup (she used mainly MAC) would not have any problems withstanding the heat. I have seen her portfolio, and all her brides look amazing.
The first two are pics from my boudoir shoot (cropped obviously). They are 100% untouched. The retouched pics I got are just wonderful, but I also like how I look without it retouched, which must say a lot about the makeup. The last pic is me having done it on my own with considerably less makeup (lips purposely nude). Yes, I COSPLAY, ladies, so that explains the blonde hair and contacts 😉 BIG NERD HERE!
So what should I do, ladies?! Trust my makeup artist and have awesome pictures, but possibly be a hot mess and rubbing off on everyone? Or ask her to keep it as light as possible so I can feel comfortable the day of, but risk the pictures not being as awesome?
Thank you for the help, reading this long pose, and for forgiving the large photos!
