I wouldn’t show up to the appointment. I would have your husband talk to her and if she has a problem with you not going to the appointment, I would tell her you will go when the time is right for you and your husband.

def don’t go. i dont know why your husband thinks it’s a good idea for you to do that. can you get the phone # from her and call the realtor/say you’re not coming/interested like others suggested?

She didn’t just cross the line she kicked it over! Seriously, DO NOT GO TO THIS MEETING and just call the realtor. There is no sense of wasting your and the realtor’s time when you aren’t interested. Because the realtor may work on commission, she/he may be pushy on you and with your Mother-In-Law wanting you to buy a darned house you will be outnumbered. Your husband isn’t even going with you! Politely but firmly tell your Mother-In-Law to please knock off the crap. No offense here….but your husband needs to deal with his mother and you should not have to get off of work early to entertain her idiotic notions. It’s HIS mom so HE should deal with it.

@Aquaria:  Sorry, but your husband loses major points here. He wants to play along with his mom’s crazy behaviour (including passing along private information about both of you!) but he won’t man up and come along himself?

No, no, and no. NO.

@Aquaria:  what? your hubby won’t go.  I wouldn’t go either.  It’s his mom and you have to deal with her.  No.  I’d just ignore it all and let hubs deal with it.
