This sounds really good! And your guests will probably love having something different than “typical wedding food.” What is salt and pepper squid? Is it fried like fried kalamari? I’m curious 🙂

Yum! I’m a vegetarian, but not a vegan, so my opinions are very skewed that way. But, with that said, I think it would be cool to have some options that aren’t just meat served to everybody, just because the main selection might be a little bit of overkill. Maybe the puff pastry with salsa as a general option as well? I would happily eat all of the veggie options, personally. Sounds like a lot of fun!

I’m a happy omnivore, but I would definitely prefer it if there were at least a few non-meat options that were available to everyone. When I eat at one of those places where you order a steak and that’s ALL you get, I want to cry. I need some crunchy vegetable-y goodness to go along with all that protein.

I love the mini-meal idea! Everything sounds really good and different!

@pohget: Oh, sorry, I did see that, I just wanted to make sure my thoughts were understood to be that of a vegetarian, not an omnivore! And it looks like linguo42 gave you the other side of the coin on that, so there you go. The eggplant dish might be a good option for a very vegetable-y dish for meat eaters to break up the meat dishes. But yeah, if some of the meat dishes come with some veg, you should be fine any way you want to go!

    I’d eat these:

    • Morrocan chicken tagine with rice
    • San Choy Bau (Asian pork lettuce thingies)
    • Whiting fillets
    • Baby chat potatoes fill with a lentil stew
    • Puff pastry topped with a roasted corn & avocado salsa

Its sounds really fancy… Im the pickiest eater besides my aunt and sadly i dont think I would eat anything. I am just being honest… maybe some “traditional food” wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Sounds delish! I would try most of the things you have listed. It sounds really interesting and unique 🙂
