@misabell:  I’m really loving the look of mixed metals lately, especially white/rose. It’s beautiful!

I love how it looks like your wedding band was taken from your FI’s band. So pretty! And I love the mixed metals!

I have a 2.5mm 14k white gold engagement band with a .7 carat princess cut diamond. My wedding band is white tungsten, as is my fiance’s (although mine is 2mm and his is 6mm).I have a size 9 finger. at first I was worried about them being mismatched, but now i like how unique they look together, kinda funky. I’m worried about the tungsten corroding the white gold tho…. Sorry about the quality of the pic!

@NaijaPuertoDorian:  Is one of you in the Marine Corps or Navy? I see digi-cammies.

Also, love the idea of tungsten!

@Galatea:  No, we’re both sailors actually, we were holding hands on my lap lol. All services do the digital cammies now, Marines are usually desert brown, while Army ones are more of a desert green, Air Force more of a grey-tinged brown, and the Navy the blue pictured!

They looked slightly green in the picture, but I didn’t see any brown, so I wasn’t sure. I figured it was either of the two. But I had a feeling it was Navy because it looks like you have an anchor tattoo on your finger (not sure if that’s what it is)

I remember back in ROTC in high school, when the digi-cammies first came in for issue, everyone was so excited. Especially since they didn’t have to wear the regular boots again – no more polishing. Man, the old days…

@Galatea:  it is an anchor :). Unfortunately, a keloid formed when I got the tattoo and distorted it; i have 7 and thats the first one that’s ever not healed properly. I’m pretty sure it was because its on my hand and I wasn’t able to keep it as properly. Lucky!! I’m still stuck in shoeshine land, and since boo is too, its double the trouble for me lol.

@NaijaPuertoDorian:  Aww, I’m sorry. I could still tell it was an anchor, I didn’t think anything had happened to it, I think it’s held up nicely :]

Awww, you guys don’t get the suede boots? Not too familiar with Navy uniforms…Do you guys have Corfam too? That stuff is horrible, one scuff and you’re a goner.

By The Way, sorry OP for jacking your thread 🙁

@Galatea:  It just didnt heal “flat” like I wanted it too..But hey, not everything can be smooth sailing, pun intendedTongue Out. They’re an option, but for uniform and shipboard use they must be all leather steel toed. Coroframs, like suede boots, are optional for purchase, but once again when you’re onboard, or for inspection pruposes, they’re supposed to be all leather dress shoes. People typically get away with wearing coroframs though. LOL I think OP’s long forgotten about this thread, i just realized its 7 months old!! I hope she’s off in maritalblissland! Can’t wait to get there :))
