mrstodd2bee :  this is always my first question when a moissy bee asks if her stone is too big, and it’s a question worth considering! I have never once seen a bee with a diamond wonder if her stone was too large.

nivyx :  your setting is gorgeous but the stone is too big for my taste.

nivyx :  Definitely a stunner!  I can wear a size 4 but also range from size 3-4, but mine is a size 3.5 or 3.75 with a 1 carat equiv moissy and halo.  But it’s still substantial.

Are you worried people will think it’s not a diamond or something due to size (not saying you are passsing it off as a diamond) or that people will think it’s so large it was unrealistic for you to get a ring that large?

winterwhite :  I don’t think she’s bragging. Most people can afford a 2 carat moissanite, which is why she upgraded. Once on her tiny finger, she felt it may be too big, and turned to a wedding board for opinions on size.

I think it’s beautiful! But I also love big bling 😃 I have a 2.01 carat diamond and I absolutely love it. Shrinkage is a real thing, so give it time to adjust and I’m sure you’ll be comfortable with it!

nivyx :  It’s very large but it’s beautiful and I think you can pull it off with your gorgeous long fingers. However, if you feel it’s too big for everyday wear, a 1.5 ct equivalent would also look lovely.

nivyx :  Its a beautiful ring and only you can answer if its “too big”

I am a size 5.5 and my moissy is 6mm cushion so about ~1 carat equivalent. I love it because it looks reasonable for the area I live in and our income/quality of life. I dont lie about what it is, but i didnt want anything that would cause a lot of comments/questions about it.

@Nivyx I’m wearing 2.4 carats on a size 6 and am jealous of how your ring looks on your slimmer fingers! I don’t think it looks too large but can definitely commiserate with you on it feeling that way at first. It took me a month or so of daily wear to adjust to my ring but I absolutely love it and am glad we went for it to hopefully avoid the desire to upgrade in the future, although I have already started exploring ring jackets to make this one appear to be a 3 stone so I am totally drooling over @teeny1967 ring hahaha. Your ring is beautiful OP.

winterwhite :  Humblebrag? Really? All the threads on this site to choose from and you pick *this* one? Lol, be serious.

OP, I happen to think 2 carats is a size that looks good on anyone. You’re just luck to have such small, delicate hands and fingers. Color me green!

sunburn :  Her fingers are just so slim and it’s just so inappropriate to wear for such mundane tasks as *grocery shopping.* people will think she gave the Butler the day off or something and *stare*!

nobody ever cares about rings as much as people on these boards think they do. I promise a 2ct ring will not “attract stares at the grocery store.” Please.

It is really what you feel comfortable with. I think I’d find it too big for my finger but I LOVE the design.
