Predictable thread is predictable.
OP, your ring is beautiful and I think it looks lovely on your hand. Give it some time to get used to it.

Big stones are more common nowadays! I wear a 1.9 ct round diamond in a delicate halo and I’m a size 3.75. I like the look and although it stands out I’ve never gotten weird stares or questions. Wear what YOU love. Life is too short. If it was a 3-4 ct that gets in the very big category for me and can look like too much.
its perfect, leave it alone!
If no one cares about rings IRL why is it inappropriate for OP to wear her larger ring shopping? Why will people judge her if no one cares about her ring?
winterwhite : Oh I totally agree with you regarding people not noticing rings when you’re out and about. I don’t waste one brain cell on worrying about what others think of my jewelry because the majority just don’t care. And I guess small hands and fingers could be considered bragging under the same rule that if I said I was small and wear smaller clothing sizes I’m accused of bragging. I tend to discount things like this because people look how they look.
Too big for me,but you do you.
The ring is beautiful, but main stone size detracts a little bit from the setting details (in my opinion). I voted too big.
No such thing as too big! Enjoy your new ring!
Your ring is beautiful and I really like the unique leaf/petal accents on the side of the setting. Also, your nail polish is gorgeous!
Give yourself time to get used to your ring size and then see how you feel. No one’s opinion (on this board or out in public, whether supportive or not) should matter as much as your own. Do you like it? Does it give you the finger coverage you wanted? There will be detractors no matter what size ring (or finger) you have. Do you really want to make any choices in your life based on what they might be thinking?
Two other things:
1- there are Bees who have posted about feeling that their diamonds are too large and wanting to go down in size to better suit themselves, so diamond or moissy or gemstone shouldn’t really have a lot of bearing on what your sweet spot is in terms of finger coverage.
2- There was a woman at the grocery store yesterday who was wearing a huge emerald ring. I was far away and couldn’t see many details, but it was a white stone that could have been diamond (or something else) and it was a nice distraction to admire it while she moved around paying for her items and retrieving her bags.
Do your thing. Don’t ask other people to give you permission to love what you love.
It’s beautiful (but since you asked) it is too big for me, but I don’t live somewhere where 2ct stones are the norm. My 0.75ct is considered large here, so a 2ct would be huge, if it was a diamond I would be concerned about the risk of wearing such a large valuable stone out and about.
I really like it on you. I also didn’t get a sense of humblebrag from the post, so maybe I’m missing something.
Anyways, I’m a fan of larger stones. I just like pretty, sparkly objects, hehe
