Thanks to you guys on here.. we went with moissanite for my e-ring! I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! I have been so happy with our decision! It reflects different colors of the weather, time of day, location I am in!! It is just BEAUTIFUL!! I wouldn’t trade it for a diamond for nothing!
We got a 1 carat cushion cut Amora Moissanite stone and it is BEAUTIFUL!
No one notices that it isn’t diamond, I’ve heard “wow look at that diamond!” “that’s a beautiful diamond!” “that’s quite the rock!” “how much did that cost him??” more times than I can count lol. I’ve even had jewelers call it a diamond before they’ve looked at it under the microscope! I’m quick to correct everybody on it though=] – I am a PROUD moissanite ring owner lol.
The other funny part about my ring was that we originally saw the setting on Shane company’s website. The closest store was 6 hours away, and the setting itself was $2100, our price range for the whole ring, not just the stone. And they would only make it in a 2 carat setting – I wanted a 1. So, I’d heard of replica dresses.. why not a ring? I found a company on Ebay (Lord of Gems/Lord of Pearls), sent them pictures of the setting and asked them to make it in a 1 carat and.. THEY DID!! IT WAS PERFECT.. EXACTLY like the picture I sent them. Except for we did a double prong in each corner at my request. but this ring.. I mean IDENTICAL TO A T! (my stones around the setting/sides of the ring are real diamond btw)
They even set my stone in for me for no extra charge! (I mailed them the stone that we had bought from http://www.moissaniteco.com)
Here is the setting we had copied:
Sooo the finished product: (I’ve had it for awhile now.. since like august… but can’t seem to get any really good pics of it lol):
If I ever get better pics I’ll be sure to add them lol!

Wow that is beautiful! Is that rose gold? I wish I had known about the bee, moissy, and rose gold when we were ring shopping. Not that I don’t LOVE my e-ring, but I LOVE the sparkle of a moissy and rose gold is just so warm and beautiful. Congratulations!

Thank you! Yes, it is rose gold around the halo and white gold everywhere else. I love the two tone look!

This is crazy, that’s the EXACT SAME setting I was looking at! I’m going to see if they can slightly alter it into a split shank with a matching band though- how was the customer service? They told me they wouldn’t work with moissanite when I asked.

What a beautiful ring!! I also love the 2-tone look! May I ask how long did it take for them to custom make a setting? Thanks.

I’ve thought of having these same ebay sellers replicate a ring for me. Your ring has more diamonds around the halo than the stock ring pictured. Did you know it would be that way or did they let you see the wax casting pics or drawings of the ring? I just worry it will be not exactly the same as the ring I want. Your ring is really close and I know the slight difference in diamond amounts may be your preference or because your ring has a one carat center and the stock ring was made for a two carat center. Did it take them long to complete it? It is lovely on you.

Also, how may pics were you able to send them? Is the side view just like the stock photo also? I love the double prongs.

Beautiful! I’ve been looking at LOGR on ebay for a couple weeks now, trying to decide if I should order an eternity band from them. This is one of many great reviews I’ve read around the web. That moissy looks yummy

I wonder if they make custom rings…

They do, just send them photos
I’m glad you liked your custom ring! It’s gorgeous. I’ve been looking at them too so I’m glad to hear that you love th ring form them.

Sorry I didn’t get back to you all sooner!!
musician32992: who told you they wouldn’t work with moissanite? Alot of the jewelers I went to said they wouldn’t. I had to buy the moissanite directly from http://www.moissaniteco.com and I sent it to the company in China and they set it for me. The customer service was EXCELLENT with the remake company! The first setting I got was not exactly right (they had forgotten the milgrain detail), I sent it back and they remade it for me exactly the way I wanted it and even set my stone for no extra cost
nkwu22: it was an INCREDIBLY SHORT time!! the ring was made within 10 days and I had it within a week after that!
halolover: I always forget that part is different lol sorry. No, I did not know that, I’m sure if you specified however they would have no trouble doing it. They did not send me pictures, no. So yes, it was quite a big risk lol. They were supposed to send wax casting pictures but they never did. I should have asked again, but I was confident enough with the return policy that I just took a chance.
halolover: I sent them tons of pictures! Probably 10 at least. Zoomed in, different angles, etc. The side I believe is the same, but again, may be more or less diamonds. My carat weight is slightly different than the stock photo. The double prongs were actually a recommendation by them, and I’m so thankful they did! It is 10x safer with a moissanite to use double prongs to prevent chipping in the corners – and I love the look of it!
bunnyharriet: yes they do! Mine was custom off a picture, but they said I could make any changes to it that I wanted and they would do them =]

hey i was just curious as to what stones he used in the setting and how much did they charge you for the finished product?
