Are y’all sick of seeing my ring yet? ^_^ Anyway, I can’t post a real review because weddingbee says I have to be married to post actual vendor reviews. BOOO!!! Anyway, so here it is.
I was looking for a non diamond stone and really wanted to stay colorless. It wasn’t because I was looking to fool people, but I just wanted something that would match with everything. About a year ago, a person on opendiary.com was featured on the front page for her engagement. She retold the story and then alerted everyone that her ring was not a diamond and that it was moissanite. That was the first time I had ever heard that word. And it was then I started my long research on this stone from the heavens. I read reviews on The Knot, WeddingBee, Offbeat bride, BetterthanDiamond, ect. I felt secure knowing that there were real life happy brides out there with this stone. I still wanted to see it in person, so we went over to Helzberg Diamonds and I fell in love there.
So I came across moissaniteco.com from a google search and the many many references to them. I spent about a month adding and taking away from my wish list. At one point I had about 20 rings on my wish list. The website has a live chat function and everytime I had a crazy question, Robyn or Chris would be there to help me through it. Would it cloud? Would it be green or yellow? Would it fall out easily? Could I wear it in water? Yes…I asked like a million questions. Even after I ordered it and had a moment of panic, Mike, the owner, reassured me over at BTD that my order was safe and we were not being ripped off. All the ladies over at BTD calmed me down so I didn’t have a panic attack at 3am.
Fiance says that they were very quick with answering his questions about the status and different codes that were showing up. They even let him know the day before the ring shipped that it was being shipped and promptly sent him a tracking number the very next day. He also chatted with Robyn and got very quick answers.
When he proposed we were in a dim area and the moissanite shone right through. I am not disappointed with our choice to go with moissanite. I got the bling and size I wanted (7mm 1.25ct) and Fiance didn’t have to start stripping to pay for a diamond.
The reaction I have received is overwhelming. Only two people have called it a diamond and I corrected them and they wanted to know more. In fact, a claims processor who would seriously not let go of my hand today is going to order a pair of moissanite earrings for herself. She, like me, loves the bling but not the price of a diamond.
So here she is again. I would highly reccomend using moissaniteco.com if you are thinking about getting a moissanite stone. Mike and Jera are so kind and will answer any questions you have about their website.
I hope this puts a brides mind at ease about ordering online.
**It’s eng728 and the center stone is a 1.25ct (7mm)**
