If they sent it out like that they should send you a fed ex label and pay for shipping.

Hm, I wonder if jewelers mutual would cover it if it gets lost in transit? I have my center stone (not setting yet because I’m lazy) insured through them and it was pretty cheap ($25 a year.) I’ll see if I can find out for you.

Oh man. I’m actually in the process of returning my ring to MoissaniteCo too, for a repair to the center stone. Shipping is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Would have shipped it out earlier but I can’t in good conscience spend $110 on shipping my ring back so I’m waiting until I get paid on Friday and shipping it out Monday.

I live in Canada too, I can commiserate 🙁

My ring cost very slightly over $1000 ($65 more), but I’m sending it through FedEx anyways, since they cover almost all of it. I feel so sorry for you. I hope you get it sorted out.

And I feel like you should be reimbursed for the shipping. It was shoddy workmanship. And I personally feel like I should be reimbursed for my shipping costs too (Blue Nile did it for me when I got my first e-ring from them – a return of $80). I want to be reimbursed for it but I don’t feel like asking them mainly because of all the shoddy customer service I received from their live chat.

Maybe send them an email asking for reimbursement on the shipping? I may try that too and see. I wish we didn’t have to pay so much for it.

Good luck!

Unfortunately there have been a lot of moissaniteco complaints lately. I’m not sure if they’re having issues or just sloppy or what, but I hope you get it fixed soon!

@nambi_pambi:  have you been emailing or using the live chat? It seems people get better results when they email Chris.

@BlondeMissMolly:  I know!  I had a good experience with them and I knwo several others have in the past too, but Ive been hearing this too.

Ive also heard as others have said that livechat is shoddy, (I used it) and email is a little better, (used that too) and i kind of have to agree.  I wasn’t asking a ton of questions but the livechat rep was wishy washy and confusing so thats why I emailed.  I remember I was relieved to learn they would take it back if it was the wrong size as long as the tag was still on it.  Is it because of the Canada location that you are having such troubles or is this all over?

@nambi_pambi:  I can understand why!  Id be pretty ticked off too.  I would keep calling their customer service and just pester them.  I wouldnt know what else to do!  I knwo you said that you cant find a jeweler to work with palladium, but im wondering if they could fix it with platinum?

Hi nambi_pambi, I sent you a few emails a couple of days ago.  I would prefer to communicate with you off of WB, but maybe you aren’t getting my emails.

We would be more than happy to assist you with the engagement ring as soon as we receive it back. If a microscopic crack has been found or has appeared since you received it, it is covered by our warranty and so repair and shipping to you is fully covered by our company (and if the initial ring sizing was incorrect, it is also covered). With the restrictions we have on our Fedex account we can’t initiate an internatinal pickup nor will our insurance cover packages picked up from an international location.  Therefore you would have to initiate the shipping process.  In my email to you I recommend trying the Canadian post as it is the method most of our Canadian customers have used in the past.  We received your initial email on the 28th concerning your ring, and we sent return instructions the same day.  We stand ready and willing to help you as we were from the day you contacted us, but the next step is for us to get the ring so we can do that.

All of these bad reviews lately are making me really nervous! My ring came in yesterday but of course I can’t see it yet because he hasn’t Purposed. I’m so nervous that something will go wrong with it.

That company looks so good, with all its amazing products and all…but from Canada, where I’m from too, it’s complicated with the shipping costs. That’s mainly what deterred me from buying online from the US, so I understand that it must be frustrating.

If you want to find a jeweler in BC who works with palladium, go visit the big chain stores, Peoples, etc. Over here in Toronto these jewelers work with any metal. The stores usually send out the jewelery to their external jeweler. Then again, moissyco might annul any warranty on their products if any other jeweler works on their rings…that’s what they told me when I asked.

Best of luck to you!!
