I am a firm believer that once you adore a song, you can’t let it go. I fell in love with mine and kept searching, searching, searching for something to top it… and nothing ever did. If you love it, go with it. She will get over it, I promise.

For the record, I like that song and I don’t think of campfires haha.

It is your wedding use whatever song you want.  I would just tell your mom that you like the song and are using it.

My mom hasn’t heard my song, but I know she will hate it.  She saw the name of it in my sample program and she inquired about it and all I said was “you will hate it” and laughed, lol.

It’s what we want, so she will have to deal with it! =P

I think if you love it then you should do it. I have ALWAYS wanted to walk down the aisle to unchained melody. I get alot of grief over it but I don’t care!!! lol I am going to do it anyways…

I used the Hawaiin version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, we got married on the beach, so maybe it was more fitting for that.  You do what you want!  But if you are not sure you still have plenty of time to youtube it, girl!

My mom won’t know any of the songs that are used in my wedding ceremony.  She was somewhat upset when I don’t her it wouldn’t be the traditional “wedding” music.  But we are having an acoustic guitar player and songs that sound great on church organs just don’t sound good on acoustic guitars.

Use what song you want.  I’m sure your mom has gotten others things her way for the wedding (I know mine has).

My whole family hates my song. Haha. But as ChubbyBunny said, once you know- you know! You just fall in love with it, and no one’s opinion will be able to make you not want to use it. At least not for me. When I hear the song I chose, all I can think about is that it describes EXACTLY how I want my wedding to be (even though there are no words ๐Ÿ™‚

So I definitely don’t think you should let her talk you out of it!!

I agree with ChubbyBunny and Ms.Pink and many of the PPs.  This is your wedding and while you don”t want to be rude to your Mom this really is Your Day not hers.  I have a girl friend who walked down the aisle to Moon River, comments at the reception were that it was one of the most romatic weddings they had ever seen.  I think once your Mom sees how happy you are and sees the actaul wedding ceremony she will wonder why she ever doubted the song.  And if she doesn’t well …
