    I think that’s a pretty dress and it’s not a big deal. People will be wearing all different kinds of colors anyways. But if you wanted her in something softer or a different color to match the wedding party more then I could understand that. Maybe if you put it to her that way… that you want her to fit in with the wedding party then she would be willing to exchange it for something softer (if she can).

    I think it’s a lovely dress, and age appropriate. It’s your mom’s day, too. Nobody will be mistaking her for the bride – you should let her wear it if that’s what makes her feel beautiful.
