    I’m sorry your mom said that to you. That’s a terrible thing for her to say. I really, really like your original dress.

    If it makes you feel better, when I tried on the dress I ended up getting I came home and showed the Fiance (I don’t care if he sees it before the wedding) and his response was “isn’t lace for old people?”  I got the dress anyway, it makes me feel amazing and I love it!  For whats its worth I like the first dress a lot, but I’m not terribly fond of the second dress you posted.  Goodluck and go with whatever makes you feel great!

    Do you have a picture of you in the 1st dress, I’m not a big fan of the 2nd dress to be honest

    Why are some mothers so painfully blunt?  My mom is the same way, so I can feel your pain.  And my mother doesn’t mean to be malicious, she just feels that because I am her child she can doesn’t have to bother with being tactful about her opinions.

    That said, I think your dress is beautiful.  I also like your dress you are going to try on, but I do think I much prefer the first one.  Of course, what matters is what YOU like.  If you find the dress for you, you will glow when you wear it and THAT dress will look the best on you.

    I love the 1st dress and you will look amazing. Your mom will just have to deal with it.

    Dignified! haha

    I’m sorry she did this.  But I also have to admit that the first dress is gorgeous and I’m not a fan of the 2nd.  This is YOUR wedding though, so wear whatever you want, regardless of your mom’s opinion!

    I’m sorry but for what it’s worth I love your original dress and I really really love the dress you want to try on! You’ll look amazing in whichever dress you choose.

    I really like the first dress.

    Honestly, I don’t like the 2nd one at all. The shape of the bodice is beautiful but all those rosettes are WAY too much and would definitely detract from you on your wedding day.

    The 2nd dress is a dress where all guests would be seeing the dress (and not you), dress 1 is a beautiful dress where they will look at the dress but they will also see YOU in it and how it enhances YOUR beauty.

    @agerard23: LOL.

    I really like the first one. I saw a similar one at DB and wished I had the budget to even try it on. 🙂 I’m sorry, the second one just looks strange to me – but I think whatever you love most, get! It’s your wedding, not your mom’s (or any of ours)! 😉

    on the models i like the first one and love the second. i would need to see them on you to possibly change my mind to love or like both or love the first and like the second.  i also am not necessarily a huge satin fan and think some of the best dresses are not satin, and i assume you bought the first dress because it suited you and your body type!  so i can only imagine you look fantastic in it!  the second one is more “statement” though (which i love), so if you want to change your style or look, i think its worth trying on!

    I much prefer the 1st dress. It’s very unique and beautiful. Do you have a pic of you wearing it?  Sorry she said that to you! That wasn’t nice at all! 🙁
