I have been trying to keep my private life private and post only wedding related things of late, but I just had to get this out. She had serious health problems but was not currently going through any episodes of anything, so it is a total shock. Some may even remember that our relationship was rocky on and off, but things have been really going well for the last few months. Since so many good things happened for my sister and I lately, she has really been upbeat. Obviously, there are a lot of different emotions right now for all of us, but I had talked to her Wednesday afternoon about our Christmas visit, and my last memory of her is what a great mood she was in and how excited she was for us to come visit this coming Saturday. Every single person I’ve had to break the news to has immediately commented how sad it will be that she won’t be at my wedding. I wasn’t prepared for those reactions. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I know what it’s like. I lost my mom in April, exactly 2 weeks after I got engaged. It was completely unexpected. Fiance and I found her when we went to go visit her. It has been the most difficult thing I’ve gone through, but I have awesome support and over the past months I have more and more good days. When I get sad I try to think of the good things about her or the funny things she would say or do. I also at times talk to her, IDK…it kind of gives me some comfort at times. I got those same reactions about her not being here for my wedding…which she was so excited about. People say time heals, I don’t know if I completely agree with that, but time does make thing a little easier. Again, I will be thinking of your family.

@ItalianLady: I felt a lot of guilt about our relationship and only recently started to come to terms with it. I am so so grateful that she seemed so happy.
My dad passed away when I was 6, and I still talk to him, 19 years later. It helps.
@everyone: Thank you so much for all the support.
