Fiance and I are crazy fortunate to have some amazing friends in our lives acting as “Friendors”.
At the moment, I’m going to gush about our calligrapher.
Our friend Ashley just has amazing handwriting. She keeps telling me that “Anybody can do this” and “You just need to practice” but I’m not buying it.
I’m trying very hard to convince her to start a business doing this- she’s amazing.
My gorgeous (and free) calligraphy. As a bride on a budget, I never dreamed that my envelopes would be this beautiful.
Also, hopefully this is ok, but I have to put in a shameless plug for my friend: If you are interested in having her do your calligraphy (she does invites, custom monograms, etc), please PM me for her contact info.

Hor gorgeous! I sent my friend a card asking her to do my calligraphy but haven’t heard back yet. Your emvelopes look gorgeous.

Wow! Those are great! My mom is getting her friend to be our “calligrapher”. She has good handwriting as well.

I had dreamed of having gorgeous calligraphy (Let’s just say I ogled Jenna Hein’s website a few too many times) but I always assumed that I would have to cut this luxury b/c of how expensive it is.
Then, we happened to take a trip to Boston with a group of friends, and on a trip to Paper-Source, I discovered that Ashley happens to have a flair for calligraphy and that it’s her hobby.
And, much to my surprise, she does it for free for friends!
I feel so lucky, and I’ve kind of taken it upon myself to convince her to market her work- I absolutely think she could make money doing it!

One more! She keeps putting up pictures as she does them 😀

Hey! I am also in Indiana, and would love to get some pricing.
Do you know if she does any other “styles”? That particular style, while stunning, is a little too ornate for our tastes, and we are looking for something a little more…..simple.
