So I bought a dress as a sample, and it had some issues with the beading that we were going to have fixed, but my grandmother found almost an entire yard of lace that they had used on my mother’s wedding dress – so we replaced it with that! Here are some before and after pictures.. still not completely altered but all the lace is on and I’m so excited about it!
After (excuse the face)..
The back beading has all been replaced as well. It turned out just like I imagined and I had to share it with the hive!

I don’t have any pictures of the back pre-lace, but here’s what it looks like now. They’re waiting to put the buttons back on until closer to my wedding (since that’s where they’ll take it in/let it out if my weight fluctuates).

Awww, it’s beautiful! And how special that the lace is from your mother’s dress that your grandmother gave you.

I like the lace better than the beading! How nice it will be to have part of your mother’s wedding dress on you for your wedding. That’s so special.

Wow! That looks gorgeous! Your alterations just made your dress look so much more expensive and unique than it originally was.
