After much discussion with my jeweller, he has unplated my white gold ering and wedding band. He has also told me that he will happily replate f.o.c for me if I decide I’m not keen.
Have I made the right decision? I’m enjoying the difference, but does it suit? I’m so indecisive about stuff like this 🙈.

smudgie : very cool. I love the soft gold look. It’s very modern with your twisted band

I like it. Really I love all metals though! So my opinion usually depends on what looks good with a given skin tone. I think this goes well with your skin.

To me,it looks like sterling silver although it might just be my moniter

I LOVE unplated white gold so much more than rhodium plated! It looks wonderful.

Your set is beautiful! Without a side by side, though, it’s hard to see the difference and whether one looked better next to your skin.

TwilightRarity : you make a good point! I have attempted a side by side. Also had to fiddle with the temperature of the plated set to try and match the new image.

smudgie : Love the warmth but soft glow of the metal. Warms up your skin. I am an olive skin tone and have rose gold myself…it blends nicely instead of being a sharp contrast. Your updated set is lovely.

smudgie : I have unplated white gold so I am biased. I love it! Eta I love how it looks different depending on the light and the diamond pops.

I may be missing the comparison between before and after, but the after picture is fabulous.
