I, like many fellow waiting bees, get frustrated at times by the wait. I used to always chew my nails when I was stressed out, which doesn’t leave them looking pretty. Since my wait should be less than 6 months now, I thought I should keep my nails nice for showing off the ring when it comes. So I’ve been doing my nails each week for a bit now, and they’re looking much better already!
Anyone else have funny little waiting habits/addictions besides the Bee?

I have to say the Bee is my only waiting addiction….but now that you mention it, I really could go for a manicure!!! Hoping my wait is about 2 months or less!!!

LOL.. my Fiance told me he wouldnt propose if my nails looked bad… so I stopped biting for about 2 months… then once I had the ring… they were all gone again! I think not biting is good. I also used to run more- there was a billboard that I looked at through the window of the gym of a couple getting engaged… that helped. I know it’s hard, but you’ll really be happy that you didnt push it… especially when you are a week from the wedding and at eachother’s throats because your family hasnt all RSVPed but his has… then he cant make any stupid comments about you “pushing” things… just remember that you dont want to force him… Even if you really do. 🙂 Good luck waiting. I’m sure it will happen soon, but enjoy the wait and the EXCITEMENT of the wait! It really is the most special moment!

go for it =). I’m hoping your wait is over soon!

You have an excellent reason for not pushing… he can never give me a hard time if wedding planning gets stressful! Going to the gym would also be a productive way to release some energy, I should work on that. Best of luck with your upcoming wedding =)

I keep my nails done, I just like going to the shop to get them done and pedicures and waxes too. I did it anyway, but it helps with the waiting.

I’ve been thinking of taking better care my nails. I don’t paint them, but my cuticles are looking a little sad lol. Mostly I just come to this sight to try and ease my waiting. It helps me to spare BF from asking him about rings, wedding, engagement, ect… He refuses to talk details anyway until we are actually engaged. Somehow we agreed on a 2013 wedding, possibly October, 35 people, and honeymoon in Alaska.
Now I just turn to this board for my questions:)

Since I will be going home to see him next weekend, I plan to get my nails done sometime this week- just in case 😉 . Although, it’s probably just going to be a waste of money since I’ll be moving all week and they will probably get ruined. Oh well!
