anon1234bee:  my heart just dropped out of my chest….. Holy freaking shitballz! I would never trust them again with my child, how much of a complete stupid idiot do you have to be to know that as an adult you have to be super careful about co-sleeping let alone with a 10 year old??? I mean common sense much??

the trust would be 100% gone for me…. Gone! And then not telling you for a week? Wow I’m just speechless

Just read this whole thread with my heart in my throat. The horror of imagining your sweet baby falling to the ground with this nut job running around doing who knows what just sends chills down my spine. i would also speak to your neice and thank her for doing the right thing, as well as have your husband handle any contact with SIL from here on out, to make a united front.

I agree wholeheartedly with the PPs who stated that your Mother-In-Law is “off the hook,” that you should speak to Grace to thank her for being honest/she’s welcome to visit the baby, etc., and as for your SIL…

Don’t reach out to her. She knows what she did was WRONG, and she knows how guilty she is. I would have immediately called my daughter’s pediatrician if my daughter had a fall that high- even now at 15 months, to see what to be on the look out for-I can’t believe that a parent would be that negligent (she should have called her kid’s ped for advice). And don’t even get me started about letting her co-sleep with another child…

I would never leave my child alone with that woman for a second, ever again.
