princessanon0125 :  I do hope that in light of the circumstances and his behavior a judge is very generous with alimony and child support. I imagine very few women will want to be with a man who betrayed his recently-pregnant wife and child and moreover is now essentially broke.

It is sad that your niece has to go through this right now. But she will find ways to lift up her spirit, readjust her crown, and live her best life. She will laugh at the fact that she almost spent her life with a person who did not deserve her. He may leave the moral-free girl he’s with for another and go on to have 5 daughters. Then he may discover some are not actually his. Your niece may go on to marry someone who will embrace her daughter as their own and be happy with the once child they share, feel fortunate to adopt a child or may already have a child from their own previous marriage. For now, she has her life, baby and what sounds like a loving and supportive family.

Every time you post, I am sickened at this guys behavior, but glad to see how you and your sister are doing all you can to support your niece.  She is blessed to have you both in her life to help her and her baby.  Much love and blessings to you all during this difficult time.  But I agree with PPs – it’s a good thing the jerk hasn’t reached out.  That’s the last thing she needs right now.

What an absolute piece of shit. I’m glad she was able to record his violence toward both of them. I doubt he’ll even try to get visitation rights since apparently a daughter isn’t worth his time, but I do hope that video gets him removed from their lives forever. Both your niece and that poor little girl deserve so much better.

It was pretty clear, from your previous posts, that he’s a piece of shit. I’m glad he revealed all of that to your niece and that she is clear about it so that she doesn’t waste years and years of her life with him and his bs.

Good luck to her in her healing and it’s such a blessing that she has her mother and all of you to lean on during this time.

princessanon0125 :  I am very glad to hear he’s gone. It’s really unfortunate things had to unfold that way, but the outcome is definitely for the best.

Regarding her hormonal issues; I understand why they took her uterus out, if there was a bleeding issue, but did they also take her ovaries? Even if there was some abdominal involvement, it would seem like an extremely radical step to take both of her ovaries out to resolve uterine bleeding.

I had my hysterectomy in stages, and didn’t start having hormonal issues until after they took out the 2nd ovary. If it’s at all feasible, would encourage her to go see a naturopath to help with the hormones; they have been much more effective at helping treat my post-hysterectomy hormone issues than any of the specialists I saw before.

Either way, godspeed to her and that baby. They’ll be far better off.

I second the naturopath.  But I’m suspecting the hormones they’re talking about are probably more stress-related and postpartum, since I agree, they wouldn’t have had cause to remove the ovaries.

I am so sorry that your niece is going through this. This guy is really a POS, so in the end, it is better that he is out of her life. I’m happy that you and your sister are being so supportive to help her get through this. Sending all the good energy your way.

He’s an asshole. I wish all the best for your niece and her baby. I’m glad she has family who can take her in and give her a chance to heal.

This man is not without worth because he did father a beautiful little girl.  But, that may be the only good thing about him.  I’m glad that your niece is in therapy.  I am also pleased that your niece and great niece have such a great family of origin looking out for them.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

What a poor excuse for a man. I hope he feels shame when he looks at himself in the mirror.

That man is truly horrible, thank goodness your neice and her baby are unharmed. As for worries about finding another partner in the future, there are men who will treat her daughter as their own. But she has to heal first, as you pointed out.
