Love the theme – like the striped tablecloths and the cake!

That was rude that they puleld a no show. BUT it sounds like you had an awesome time which in the end is what counts. Sometimes smaller and more intimate parties make a better time.

What a nice thing they did for you!

My stagette and “bridal shower” were kind of pathetic, but our wedding was loads of fun. I don’t think the two go hand in hand. I wish I could forget my “shower”… it was just embarassing and sad! I came home pissed at my Maid/Matron of Honor.

I am so glad you were warned ahead!!  I remember reading about how upset you were, so glad it worked out 🙂

What an awesome shower!  You can tell your family really loves you and wanted you to have an extra special event.

I don’t think your shower turnout is any indication of the number of people who will be at your wedding.  I’m sure there will be a few ‘no-shows’, but I think people are pretty honest with their RSVPs.

Everything looks amazingggggg.

Now – for the RSVP issue. Did people just not RSVP? Or did they RSVP yes and then no show? If I were you I would make sure to send out invites maybe a little extra early so you have time to round up non-responders. I would also maybe over invite a little.

My shower was very nice, my Maid/Matron of Honor and her mother did such a nice job, but the turn out was a lot less than any of us expected! Especially the girlfriends I’ve known and been close to for years that just didn’t show!

It wasn’t about the gifts for me, I was just bummed that the people I wanted most to celebrate with wern’t as excited to celebrate with me. :/ Weddings and the parties associated with them are funny things that can bring out interesting traits in people you thought you knew. I guess the bottom line for any wedding is that no one will be as excited and happy about it as the couple involved.

As for our wedding ceremony and reception it was a really good turn out we only had about a dozen invited guest decline.

@Miss Moxy:  That’s awesome 🙂 I’m sorry your friend disappointed you. People shouldn’t say they are coming and then not show up. I don’t think it necessarily means that you won’t have a high wedding turn out because generally weddings are viewed as more important than showers.
