So my wedding in one month and I just wanted to say how awesome my parents are!! Although we’re paying for a some of the wedding ourselves, they definitely are doing so much for us and are really doing everything they can to make our day perfect! They’re always so understanding and helpful! I just can’t thank them enough!!
Which brings me to my point…are any of you getting a nice ‘thank you’ gift for your parents?? I know most people like to give wedding frames/albums then fill them with a nice picture from the wedding. That’s probably something we’ll do too, but I’d also like to get my parents something really amazing, to show them just how thankful we are! Anyone have any good suggestions?! I could use all the help I can get! for some reason, I always have such a hard time finding presents for them. They’re the kind of people who have everything they need and it’s always so hard to think of something creative!
Thanks in advance!!

I just wanted to say .. .how lucky you are!!! they sound great. I’m not sure what i’m going to do for my dad (my mom passed 14years ago) BUT my brother sat down and wrote my dad a letter. Our parent’s were in their early 40’s when we were born, so they were the oldest ones of all our friends. They were also the most understanding. My brother actually figured out about how many times my 40 something dad threw a baseball up in the air for my brother to catch.
He figured out how many year round swim meets he took both of us to, how many soccer games he coached. He also told him that my parent’s marriage was a blueprint of what he wanted his family to be about. He thanked my dad for the time/effort.
My dad had it professionally framed and has it hanging up in house. It didn’t cost much but my dad showed that letter to everyone! Maybe something like that?

That’s great that you have such awesome parents that are willing to help! Mine our great too but I’ve had friends with parents that weren’t so great during their wedding process. But, I think I’l be getting my parents a nice picture frame and also maybe tickets to a concert or comedy show? I’m sure it will change i’m still brainstorming!

I agree, it’s SO nice to have supportive families. My parents have been absolutely amazing….no pressure about anything and are even letting us have the wedding & reception at their house. I want to get them something beyond the typical photo album but so far am stuck.
