- Wedding: July 2010
dear beehive friends,
my fiance and i from the begining have assumed we will pay for our wedding which up until a few months ago was the plan. we did not ask our parents for any money. if they choose to pay for some or all, that would be on their terms. a few months ago, my parents stepped up and paid for 1/3-1/2 of what our estimated wedding total would be. so far, his parents have not mentioned anything, and we are fine with that. but my concern is, how do i word the invitations? i’ve seen before that when one side of the family pays, you address that with “mr. & mrs. jones invite you to celebrate the marriage of their daughter to Mr. Smith.” etc…i would like to acknowledge their part of helping us. it that etiquette ok to do that way since it is only partialy paid for by my parents?
please help with ideas and suggestions of any wording. i need to get my invites out this week! thanks again. 🙂
