I have been mulling over the idea of having a peacock wedding for sometime now. I love the colors, but I was VERY worried that the color scheme could come out looking like a little girls birthday party or some gypsy belly-dancing party–which is not exactly how I envisioned my wedding day.
I have put together the following inspiration board. What do you think?
Be honest, even brutal….I’m not the bee you need to tread lightly around.

I love it, it’s absolutely beautiful.

I love purple so I’m already biased. Maybe try it with a blue-er looking purple. It might be a softer look if the purple blends more with the blue & green of the feathers. I definitely don’t get a gypsy vibe though.

I think it looks great! I’m having a peacock wedding too but my colors are burgundy, teal blue, plum, and gray. I’m still trying to put together an inspiration board, though.

I’m not a purple fan & I think its gorgeous! Its very sophisticated & has a touch of elegance, but upbeat & fun too. As long as its executed well, it will be stunning!

The left corner swatch colors do not look like they go well, but looking at the rest of your board the colors are gorgeous together! I say you picked some winner colors 🙂

I’m also doing a peacock theme but I don’t like the teal so I’ve narrowed it to Plum purple and antique gold. For the reception I’m adding royal blue and even a bit of red. I’m keeping the feathers to a minimum though.

@CaraMia10: yea, I threw that pic in because it had blue napkins on the table. The purple color is everwhere in the design. The green color will be in the centerpiece. I was going to incorperate the blue in the napkins. The blue in the picture might be a bit too bright for the design though.

I think the colors are beautiful. If you want honesty, I think there is a bit too much purple. The purple lighting, the purple table cloths, the purple centerpieces, the purple bridesmaid dresses… I know these are just inspiration pictures, but since you asked for opinions, I would add in a bit more neutral colors to tone it down a bit.

I think that will look fantastic!
