@HappilyEverAfter54:

Ugh. Having your ‘visitor’ during vacation is the worst! My SO and I recently went camping and of course… I had my visitor all weekend. If anything, I think camping is the worst time to get it.

Just try to be well prepared. Will you get it when it’s just starting? Middle? Or nearing the end of it? Because I find that for me, the second and third days are THE WORST. But the fourth, fifth, and sixth days aren’t too bad (yes, mine goes on for a full week. When I was on the pill, it only lasted three days max.).

Keep your fingers crossed that it is a little off schedule!

Gwen.

I’m getting mine during the week that I have off to go camping before Fiance deploys! Yep you read it right. Last chance for sex for 3+ months when we have our mid tour visit. Knowing my luck I will have my period for that two week visit too!

So period sex during camping? *sigh*

Better make sure we camp near a lake!

Lol!  eeeeuuh.

Hi, wow, I am going on vacation with my SO for the first time and my period comes on during that time or right afterwards… oh, wow I am going to start druging up before I leave and hopefully by the time it comes it won’t be so bad. Seriously, my body turns into a beast or something. From bloating, cramps, back ache, stomach, thighs(which are the worst), hot flashes, vomitting, YOU NAME IT!

I am really hoping it holds off until we are back and I can be in a more relaed environment (meaning away from him) where I can let my body do what it does. I must seriously keep my attitude under a rap cause she can be a lil *mess* during that time.

So, Bee, I feel ya! Hopefully, all goes well. I’m packing pain med’s strong and light, a heating pad, peppermint tea (which helps), and chammoile tea….

@HappilyEverAfter54: AGREED, girl. FH and I are long distance and are finally seeing each other this weekend… exactly 1 month from when we last saw each other… WHICH IS RIGHT WHEN I’M SCHEDULED TO BE IN THE THICK OF IT. At his parents’ house, no less! UGH.

I don’t know if this would be much help to you at all – but if you get yourself to a dr’s and tell them your situation, there are definitely pills you can take to postpone your period for the duration of your vacation. It is similar to BC, but stronger. I haven’t tried it, but I know plenty of girls that have (for honeymoons, beach vacations, even their wedding) and they would do it again in a heartbeat. It messes up your cycle a bit, but there are lots of things that can do that anyway (stress, flights, etc.)

Not sure how you feel about taking a hormonal supplement though – but if you are seriously worried and are okay with the idea, you should talk to your dr! 🙂
Good luck – and try and enjoy your vacation no matter what mother nature throws your way!

Are you on birth control??? If so you can just skip your “period week” and go straight to a new package of pills (after week #3), or a new ring….I have done it before, and saved my life. Pretty much delay your period for a week.

It’s a family joke that my period goes out of its way to come as I’m traveling to a vacation spot/getting dressed for a wedding/ etc. It sucks! I totally feel for you.
