    You’re pregnant. Make an appointment.

You probably just ovulated earlier than usual. it’s rare enough to get one false positive on a pregnancy test, if you got two positives you are definitely knocked up.

what was your last period like? Some women have “implantation bleeding” around the time of their expected period. This actually happened to a friend of mine. She had what she thought was a period, then the next period didn’t come so she took a test and it was a blazing BFP. The ultrasound at what she thought was 8w showed her actually 12w along… she’d gotten pregnant the previous “cycle” but hadn’t realized it ccause she still had what seemed to be a period at the usual time. The “period” had been a little lighter than usual, but nothing odd enough to make her suspect she’s was pregnant. So… It can happen!

How strong do your test lines look? If they are pretty faint you likely just ovulated early this cycle. If they are super strong I would guess your last “period” was probably implantation bleeding. Feel free to post pics!

I also suspect that what you thought was your last period was actually implantation bleeding. That would put you at around six weeks pregnant, give or take, based on typical ovulation windows. Make an appointment with your OB and ask for beta draws and a dating ultrasound. That will clear things up as well as let you know if the pregnancy is progressing as it should.

Sounds like you’re likely pregnant! After two positive tests it’s not too soon to call your doctor for them to bring you in for a pregnancy test and/or schedule an appointment.

I got my first faint positive 7 days before my missed period, so not exactly 10 days but close to it! I convinced myself since it was a FRER that is was a false positive because it happens, but it wasn’t! And I was pregnant from that cycle, not a previous one. I would try testing with different brands every few days, that’s what I did.

Very likely to ovulate a little earlier than you thought you would have. Totally normal. I’ve ovulated up to 5 days before I expected to!

Pink dye tests are more commonly used because they require a high HcG level for a positive (or so I’m told), which is like a really DEFINITE indicator that you’re pregnant. So pink dye is more reliable.

However, false positives can happen, but false negatives happen more often. I would think you’re pregnant even with a negative pink dye test. Try again in a couple days!
