I just ordered one from blackscrapcat as well! Not too thrilled with the 2+ month wait but I’ll live. =)
I actually ordered a hanger from a fellow bee but I’m sad to say that the quality wasn’t really there. It was only $15 so it’s not a big deal but I do wish I would have liked it more.

@lizbethamber: You dont need a hanger but it definitely adds a little something extra to your pictures.

@CupCakeMeg: Aww thanks!! I was beyond ecstatic when it finally came in 🙂
@pohget: You’re welcome!
And WOOT to all the bee’s ordering from blackscrapcat! She’s awesome to work with and must definitely be gaining some popularity considering the waiting list she has now! Well worth it IMO 🙂

Love the hangers. First time I’ve thought about the fact that my last name is going to double in length! Eep!

I want to preface this post by saying that while I LOVE my Lila Frances hanger, I want to address a few things.
1. The wire is soft and if your dress is heavy, the hanger will NOT hold it up without being bent out of shape. In fact, there are multiple images on her facebook and online of hangers that have been bent out of their original shape due to the weight of a dress. Personally, I do not want to spend $30+ on something that will be damaged as soon as I use it for its intended purpose. For this reason I ordered the mahagony hanger with the wire along the bottom.
2. While I doubt it will show in any of my pictures, there are clear marks from the pliers she used to shape the wire. This would not really be a big deal except for the fact that I did try to make my own hanger but did not like the plier marks I made and therefore decided to pay for a hanger. It probably does not bother the normal person, but it bothers me. Had I known the marks would have been there, I would have kept the one I attempted since my cost of materials was only $5. The plier marks definitely make me question if the quality of her work matches the $30 price tag.
3. The wait time for her hangers is 8-10 weeks and she is very clear about that, HOWEVER, it took 12 weeks for me to get my hanger! At about week 7, I received an email saying that my order had been pushed back because my need by date was further out than other people who had order their hanger AFTER me. Now yes, I did get the hanger before my need by date but I do not think it is very good business to pick and choose when you fulfill which orders. I am sure that she made some people very happy by fulfilling orders placed fewer than 8-10 weeks out, but she also irritated me in the process. Not to mention the fact that I actually said my need by date was 2 months before my actual wedding date (I had to give her a date before my lease was up in order to ensure that the hanger got shipped to the correct address) so if I had given my real date, then I would probably still be waiting for my hanger.
4. Follow her on facebook to receive the most accurate news on when she restocks her shop. I first found out about Lila Frances about 8 months before I was even engaged. I bookmarked her etsy and knew that I had to have one when I did eventually get married. I ventured back to her etsy about 4 months after being engaged and saw that the hangers were available in limited quantities once a week. I was slightly bummed that I could not order my hanger right then and there but also completely understood why she decided to limit her stock. Her etsy gave the time and day of the week that she restocked her shop and I immediately set a notification on my phone to remind myself. When the day and time came around I was promptly at my computer to place my order. Well it turned out that there was no restock (even after 20 minutes), so I looked for ways to contact her. There was an email address and a link to her facebook. Knowing I would not get an immediate response with the email address, I went to her facebook. That is when I saw from her postings that not only had her shop been moved from etsy to big cartel, but the restocking was also taking place on a different day and at a different time than what was listed on her etsy. Now I understand it takes some time to update stores and I do not know what etsy’s policies are on listing other shop sites, but if you want to sell your product, you have to keep your customers informed.
BOTTOM LINE: I love my hanger due to the font she uses, but for the price and qualtiy, crafty people can easily make their own to be very similar for much less. (I do not want to sound bitter or upset, just being honest because I really wish I had known these things before I ordered my own.)

@pohget: Can you tell me which seller this is from? I have a hard time finding sellers that I like their “handwriting”! Some of these are so hard to read!
EDIT: Found it later in the thread, thanks!
