Last night and this morning, I brainstormed some vows, and now I have 3 different versions of vows, and I am not sure which one I like yet. They’re only the first draft so I’m sure I’ll change things, but for now…
The first one is more traditional, the last two is more personalized with a little more humor.
When we first met, I knew it was going to turn into something wonderful. Today, 6 years later, I will finally join my life to yours. From this day on, I will be your campanion, for you are my dearest love and best friend. I promise to love you and care for you in both the good times and in bad, because no matter what happens in this world, we would always have each other to lean on. I will always try to encourage you, to inspire you, to laugh with you, and to be there for you. Today I choose you as my partner, and I commit myself to you for the rest of my life.
When we first met, I knew that this was going to turn into something wonderful. Today, 6 years, 4 cities, 3 universities, 2 countries, a year and a half of long distance, and a gazillion trips later, we will finally join our lives together in marriage, for you are my dearest love and best friend.
I promise to love you, cherish you, and care for you, both in the good times and the bad. I promise to be there for you, to plan awesome adventures, to cook delicious food, to motivate you to exercise, and to be your partner in a game of Blokus. I promise to always encourage and inspire you in your endeavors, because I know that you are capable of great things. Above everything, I promise to always be there for you.
Today I choose you as my life long companion, and I commit myself to you for the rest of my life.
Today we join our lives together, for you are my dearest friend and companion.
You are everything I wanted in a partner; always loving, caring, and thoughtful.
I promise to do everything I can for you; to love you, cherish you, and care for you in your moment of need.
I promise to always be there for you; when you’re sick, I’ll be your side feeding you chicken soup.
I promise to always help you with cleaning up, cooking yummy foods, motivating you to excercise, and yes, even doing dishes.
I promise to always encourage you and inspire you, because I believe in you, and what you are capable of becoming.
I choose you as my partner in life, even when we are both old and wrinkly, because you are my perfect match, and I commit myself to you for the rest of my life.
I love you.
