Um…. whoa!  I take a day off from going back to check old threads and my word, this one got really… involved.

YAY!  I’m glad it worked out for you!!  I had a feeling too, from my previous posts, that the 27th would work for them and she just hadn’t stated that in her email.  Whew.  Crisis averted. 

You handled that with class and I never once thought you were “bridezilla” for trying to resolve a problem with a vendor for a paid service that you were worried you weren’t getting.  I would have been sending those same emails.  It’s stressful trying to plan all this for a very limited time slot.  Good for you!! 🙂

IMO (and Im not a photographer) I would want to make my clients happy. you paid for a service. they should accomadate you. You are paying them a LOT  of money. I mean I get that they want time off, but again…you paid them big $$$

I know it can be super frustrating to have a small window of opportunity to get something done and feel that you aren’t being worked with. However, most photographers are in a position where our business functions around the average persons work schedule. Our work hours are the average M-F 9-5ers play hours. So generally our weekends when others are spending time with their friends and family are super hectic, working 14 hour days, and our schedule for weekend/holiday availability is booked out months in advance. Personally I generally have my holiday plans mapped out 6-8 months ahead of time so that I can spend some quiet time with my family since our work schedules are usually quite conflicting. It isn’t unlikely that your photographer has these days set asside for some much needed time with their family, and has already told other clients this. It would be unfair for them to give you what (for a photographers schedule) might be considered a last minute booking when they’ve told others that day is out of the question. I do hope everything works out!
