- Wedding: October 2013
So I have to admit I was a googling/pinteresting crazy bride up until the wedding. Honestly just looking things up for brides could be a full time job! I sucessfully made just about everything for the wedding though and saved LOADS! So I would like to now take the time to both give credit and take credit for everything I found and loved.
Things we made:
my bouquet- a mixture of fabric flowers, pinecones, pearls, broches, and fake birds
bridesmaids bouquets- fabric flowers and babys breath from costco
my boot cuffs- stretch elastic lace, and the same fabric flower from bouquets
a corn hole board- paint, wood and nails…bought the bags however not necessary
centerpieces- mason jar, twine, pinecone flowers, babysbreath, paint,
signature drink- homemade apple pie moonshine
Tablecloths- so easy I just bout really cheap fabric at the length of the tables, then just rolled it out! Easy because I used banquet tables and at $1 a yard I saved 100s.
Favors- strawberry jam
invitations- I ordered the design on ebay for $10 then printed them at staples
wedding mad libs which doubled as guest book
OK I THINK THAT MIGHT BE IT!
Here are some pictures:
That wedding cake stand(log) is homemade too.
the jar next to the cake is one of the centerpieces
my bouquet and 2 bridesmaid bouquets with my boots
You can kinda see the tablecloths here
cornhole board…it has the ducks unlimited picture painted on it(hes a hunter). strong enough to hold a 2 yr old!
Now here are some of the sites that I remember which helped me with all of our projects!
mason jars-http://www.craftsunleashed.com/decor-home/pine-cone-flower-embellished-mason-jars/ this taught me how to make the pinecone flowers on the cake as well
boottcuffs- same as making a headband-http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Headband
for the ceremony music, I just used my churches soundsysem and a playlist on windows media. The wedding programs I used microsoft word and printed them at staples. Same with the mad libs. For the strawberry jam we went strawberry picking and used the same recipe in the sur-jel boxes. just tied ribbon around them with the persons name and what table they were sitting at on a tag. My invitations were designed by http://www.ebay.com/usr/lullabiesandlaughter she was fast and very accomodating to changes!
I hope you girls liked my pinlicious wedding!
