Sorry that this is the kind of “father” you got stuck with. I have doubts about his ability to create a positive outcome in your relationship, but it was very nice of you to try.
Ultimately, I think it’s best to have the wedding at the friend’s house, so he can be kept from coming. It was so great that your friend could offer!

blissfullyshelby : OP, I get that you want to try your best to make this work and make him understand, but that’s not going to happen. I think meeting him in person is a bad idea and is just going to lead to more anger, sadness, and frustration. He is not going to change. He is not going to see your side of it. The conversation will lead to nothing positive.
Time to cut your losses and just start getting things ready for your friend’s house. You’re getting married in 2 weeks! Now is a time to be happy and excited. Don’t put a damper on it by trying to communicate with this man.
