Haha, I was just thinking this same thing a minute ago.  Every other post seems to be asking if something is tacky.  Do what you love!!  If it’s an etiquette question though, we’ll be all over that.

THANK YOU.  I think we had a discussion about this a while ago, but some of the new-bees may not know.  The word “tacky” is just too loaded for the Hive.  ANYTHING you think is tacky is something that another bee is super excited to include in her wedding.  So can we just say “what do you think of ________?” and leave the t word out of it entirely?

Ha!  Miss Britt and I posted at the EXACT SAME TIME and we’re both post #2 and it says there’s only 1 comment.  I’m a nerd for finding this entertaining, right?

Definitely a huge THANK YOU for posting this!!  I was thinking about that today while scrolling through posts.

This is such a friendly and helpful place, it really makes me feel angry and hurt when something I did gets called tacky.   I hate that word so much.

agree!  Every time I see posts asking if something is tacky, I reflexively answer “NO!” in my head before even clicking on it or registering what they’re talking about.  Because I really don’t think anything someone might want to do at their wedding is ever tacky!

Yeah, I’m done seeing all the tacky posts. I skip them now. More than anything, it just makes me sad that people are so freaked out by what their guests are going to think about their weddings. It’s your wedding, enjoy it! Do what you want! A grateful, graceful guest wouldn’t care/say anything anyway.

I don’t agree. That’s what the site is for, for a bride to ask another bride’s opinion. I know there are a lot of these “tacky” posts but there are also a lot of “I hate my dress” posts. That’s what weddingbee is about.

I don’t know girls, are you telling me you’ve never seen something tacky at a wedding?!?   haha, I have to say, there have been many-a-time where my eyes got wide and I thought…”hmmm, that’s interesting” while at a wedding.  Now, obviously, my opinion doesn’t matter in regard to other people’s wedding, but I would argue that TACKY most definitely is possible at weddings!!!!!
