So I got a pretty good deal on my current pair of wedding shoes (im on pair #4 and they are going to work damn it!) I got white ones this time and figured I could take them somewhere to get them dyed, NOPE couldnt find any place to dye them. So I decided to DIY dye them red. Well the sole and theflower came out GREAT! But the rest of the shoe looks like tie dye pink. They are currently dyeing for the 2nd time. Im hopeing for more of a 1 tone color this time (pink would be ok!)
I was originally going to put crystals on the heel and platform but now im thinking maybe the whole thing but what about the flower?
What do you guys think. Bling out the whole thing? what about the flower, leave it plain or bling that out too?
This is them pre-dye!

Here they are after dye #2, more uniformed color besides the flower and around the flower. The flower is bright red -obvs not the same material as the rest of the shoe:(

I dont think it looks bad at all! I kind of like the fact that the flower is a different color. You did a really good job btw!!

I think they look awesome! I also love that the flower is a bit darker. I would stick with your original plan to just put crystals on the heel and platform…however, if you are set on glamming up the whole shoe, I would leave the flower alone!

Thanks ladies! I think the only way the rest of the shoe will look ok (uniform color) is to bling out the whole shoe but I’ll take your advice and leave the flower alone!

So when I woke up this morning the upper heel of the shoe looked like tie dye again! I had to rinse & scrub it more to even it out- Luckily it rinsed out. I have a little more dye left so I think im gonna do it 1 more time tonight see if I can get it any darker.

It might be cool to put on crystals on the shoe but not the heel, platform or flower

I think if you do add rhinestones, I think you should only add them up the back and heel (check this out for inspiration):

(without the bow)
The flower looks great and I wouldn’t want to interfere with it.
(PS The link is to some shoes that I love but could not afford. Luckily when I tried them on they weren’t comfortable to me. I still love the rhinestone heel!)
