I just made one.  The quality it pretty good.  I selected one with the cover, design witht he tree on it, and the quality was really good. But I noticed the back cover was just black, and there was no title on the spine.

The software was A LOT easier to use than blurb, but the only thing I didn’t like compared to Blurb was that you were limited to their font type/sizes.      But I couldn’t figure out the blurb software or think of good ideas for a cover, and went with mypublisher instead.

I have made a Blurb book for our honeymoon and a long time ago I made a MP book.  I would recommend looking into Blurb if you are doing a book 100 pages or less.  My 276 page book has had some binding issues even with the reprints I’ve been getting.  They have great customer service but that doesn’t seem to be helping my binding issues.  Note they use different types of binding for different sized books.

Either way you can check out my blog for tutorials on how to make your own pages for any printing service.  That way you can use whatever font or graphics (think monogram) you want.

I didn’t find the Blurb software hard to use at all.  And in Blurb you can have a full bleed picture on the front and back cover.  There are pictures of my book in my blog under the "They’re finally here part 2" post.

I’ve only used MP and Apple’s publishing services.  I’d have to say I prefer MP over Apple’s quality.  =)
