I’ve been on a mission to create DIY Centerpieces & Decor for my *Purple & Brown* wedding! I’m just a regular gal, no artistic background and I’m actually pretty clueless in what I’m doing. I figure, why not though? Saves money and and add’s your own PERSONAL touch!
Comments & Suggestions welcome! I could use any tips or advice you have as well!
I found this picture on someone’s *Wedding Craft Blog*. After viewing this centerpiece idea, I knew I wanted something like this design with a couple of my own personal twists & touches. I liked the idea of 3 vases, floating candle, branches and tissue poms.
Here is what they created ===>
I decided to create my own version using some of the same ideas but a few more items, taller vases and focusing on *PURPLE*!
This is what I came up with… after a few tries. My first draft DIY CENTERPIECE!
Again, this is just a first draft. The end result will be much more cleaner and jazzed up. The RED tissue paper flowers will be PURPLE and the number sign will be printed out with a nicer background. I also plan to use a few more paper flowers around the vases and a few more wine corks spread around. The table cloth will be a purple satin and the napkins will be chocolate brown.
We used 3 square glass vases (20 inch, 16inch & 12inch), branches, purple silk flowers, clear stones, rocks, purple sand, floating candle with water, large tea light candle, tissue flowers, wine corks.
Then I also created and put together my own FLOWER BALL (POMANDER) using Silk Purple Carnations! I plan on making 6 of these to hang down the isle during the ceremony.
Let me know what you think or if you have any other idea’s or tips. A few pictures have ribbon wrapped around the top of the vases (I thought it added more POP of color)!
