I do not usually post much on here. I generally just observe but I had my very own proposal this past Monday and thought I’d share my story!
This past week I was on vacation with my boyfriend of 6.5 years at one of our favorite places: Disney World. I had some mild suspicions about a proposal based off things he’d said over the past couple months but last week he made a few statements that made me certain he wasn’t going to (I later found out this was done on purpose because his family was CERTAIN I knew). But on with the proposal story!
We made our way into Magic Kingdom with his best friend and his best friends girlfriend. It was POURING from the moment we got in the car to drive to the park. Even though I was wearing a rain coat and a poncho I was drenched through all my clothes. We stopped for a minute to see if the weather would pass anytime soon but it was a solid 85-100% until the park close. I suggested we go on line for the mine train while the line was short but my boyfriend insisted on taking photos by the castle. We took a couple quick shots in front of the castle then ran over to the wishing well for a couple more. His best friends girlfriend suggested we throw in a couple coins and take a cute photo that way.
My boyfriend and I threw in our coins and when we finish he gave me a big kiss and asked what I wished for. I said I couldn’t say. Then he said “well I know what I wished for.” Then I saw him pull the blue nile box out of his pocket and immediately began crying. He cried too and asked if I would marry him as he got on to one knee. I actually didn’t say yes right away. In the video I just say “ARE YOU SERIOUS? IS THIS FOR REAL?” Like three times. Then finally when he stood up I realized I hadn’t said yes yet so I just blurted it out.
We had been dating exactly 6.5 years that day. We were both drenched and it was pouring out. I think it was the most romantic moments of my life. It almost felt like that cheesy scene in the notebook 😂. Funny enough about one hour later it stopped raining and it was mostly nice out for the remainder of the day.
Well thank you all for reading! I am just too excited.
