So last night at some point, most likely after 2 am, someone broke into cars on my block. My neighbor (also my friend for 20 years) had stuff thrown all over her car, and the only thing missing was her cigarettes that she hadjust bought the night before. there were more valuable things to take but thats all that was missing.
My grandmothers car was also broken into, she had a portable dvd player taken, as well as all the change that was in her middle console and a little zip up change purse type thing that she kept in there for times when she needed change for the tolls or whatever. Not a significant amount but still a loss. her stuff was also thrown all about in the car.
I had this happen to me last year and it was the same thing, there was stuff that could have been taken but only a few random things were gone, like a few cd’s i had (that i never listened to btw) and my little charm thingy I had hanging on my mirror. Also a pin of st. jude that was on my visor. everything else was there.
We dont know if anyone else on the block had this happen but my car as well as my neighbors mom’s car were left alone. My neighbor had her credit card and her debit card in her ashtray (stupid i know) but those were left alone as was an old flip phone she had laying around in there. so weird.
We know it was after 2 am because my neighbor went out last night and didnt come home til around 2 so since they got her car as well it had to be after that. Im so mad at whoever did this. who the hell do you think you are?! what would make someone think they can do this kind of thing? its just so irritating. I am so mad that I did not look out the window last night. i was up at around 230 last night because I could not sleep and I even took a damn shower!!! I was wide awake and walking around and i just keep thinking what if i had randomly looked out the window ? would I have maybe caught a glimpse of who did this? I know i probably wouldnt have but even so, im so annoyed at people and how disgusting they can be.
We don’t live in beverly hills but we also don’t live in a completely horrible area either. not that that matters because I know this can happen basically anywhere. But I do live in a pretty urban area so its well lit and there is usually always traffic coming down our block even at that hour of the night. its really bothering me though that there is no way to know who did this. people really do suck sometimes.

So sorry that happened, happened to me too. That day I had well over $2000 cash in my glove compartment for tuiton…I almost forgot them in my car but last minute went and grabbed them. They stole sunglasses and some c.ds and they stole my brothers radio system from his car. People are mean!

Bloody hell, I am so sorry that happened to you! Some people are just disgusting, utterly disgusting!

Yeah, that happened to me before. I refuse to live in an apartment building without rentable garages because of it.

That’s awful! I just don’t understand people 🙁 Something similar happened to FI’s car, along with about 5 other cars a few years back. They smashed random windows on all the cars (all of which were parked near each other) but didn’t take anything! There was things in FI’s car they could have taken too.. but apparently just prefered to smash windows.

This happened to me as well, last year. I’m pretty sure it was just some punk kids because all they took was my cd case that had all my old cd’s and made a mess of the inside of my car. Really children, what are you going to do with my old Boyz II Men CD and my old rap CD’s? It was more annoying than anything! Plus I felt violated and wierded out 🙁
Sorry this happened!

My Fiance left his Ipod and glasses on the passenger seat at the San Francisco Airport this past Sunday. He got distracted, set them down and headed towards the check-in without picking them back up. I worried for four days straight while he was away that someone was going to be too tempted and break in. Thankfully nothing happened.
I don’t know why people think what is mine is and can be theirs, I just don’t get that mentality. People suck, you are correct.

@kellmerr: nope no busted windows and my neighbors one car door doesnt lock properly so its not hard to open it. My grandma is really good about locking her doors. like really good about it. But last night she had to go somewhere around 10 pm and she doesnt remember if she locked it or not. So since i know mine was locked and so was my neighbors moms im thinking they just went for the easiest ones.

@futureMrsCPT: thats how i felt after someone had gone into my car last year. Annoyed first of all and also I felt completely violated. Thats my space and those are my things and some stranger touched it all and was all up in there. I had glass cherries hanging form my mirror and they took that….weird…a thief who likes glass cherries…but didnt take much of anything else? i dont get it.

People do suck! I’m sorry this happened!
A few years ago I was in Miami and left my purse in our rental car while I went inside a mausoleum and someone broke the window and took off with it. We were only in there for like 10 minutes. I called my bank to cancel my card within 5 minutes and they had already used it to buy gas. They even tried to call my bank and get the card reactivated but they didnt know my password. Got my ss card, cell phone, everything 🙁 Stealing is low, but from a car parked at a cemetery? Talk about some bad karma…

Sorry this happened! People do suck sometimes, like whoever it was that decided that my mom’s neighbor didn’t need their Uhal truck or their car that was still on the hitch in the back the night they moved in. I mean really, who does that. So yeah, that guy literally lost EVERYTHING.
