- Wedding: September 2014
When we first got engaged, I was looking online at different venues for our reception. There was always something I didn’t like or something that bothered me about the owner or coordinator.
Living in Orange County, it can also get really expensive because of all of the beautiful places here to host a wedding. We didn’t want to go crazy spending money for a venue that had restrictions or only let us use in house vendors for everything.
I was starting to feel a little frustrated, when FINALLY I came across a hotel in Norwalk CA, called THe Guest House Hotel. It is just a couple of exits down from Knotts Berry Farm and Medivel Times and a bit further south is Disneyland
I had seen a review on Yelp and after looking at the pictures, I was beyond intriguied. We took a drive over to The Guest House Hotel and found the most amazing looking banquet hall.
THe coordinator, Chrstine Lim, was very helpful and friendly and showed us around while she was setting up for an event. Normally, a coordinator wouldn’t have taken the time to smile or speak to us without an appointment.
The cool thing about this hotel is that the movie VACATION with Chevy Chase, filmed a scene here. You may remember the infamous Pool Scene with Christie Brinkley lol I am a hufe 80s fanatic so this was very cool to me!!!!
Soon after we set up an appointment, with my parents, and we set the date and filled out the contract! I am beyond excited. Christine is an awesome person and we are so excited to be working with her. She def. has the brides best interests, and is very honest about things so you won’t pay waste money.
Check out the pics below! We will be doing Black, red, white with a lil houndstooth trim!
This is the outside of the hotel
The pics do not do it justice!!! They color the light according to the color of your party. They also include the linens and they have so many color combos to choose from!
The bar area in the foyer.
This is in the main lobby and they have movie pics near the outdoor patio close to where they filmed the pool scene.
They even have this cute patio area right outside of the hall if guests need to get some air!
