Mine is not a halo… but this ring is super beautiful 🙂 My e-ring is 1.3 cts and looks like a pretty decent size on my size 5 1/2 finger. I bet the 1.5 halo would look great for your ring size!!

I have a similar ring, although it’s a rectangular cushion cut instead of a square. FI chose it because he thought it looked bigger than the same carat weight in the square shape. It’s a 1.03C with micropave diamonds, total weight of 1.6C. My finger size is a 4.75 but the ring in the picture is a size 6. I have since gotten it resized to fit me better.
I had input on my ring and for a while we were talking about how big the center stone would be. I tried on some things in the store but when I got home I would forget how it looked, since these mental images get fuzzy after a while. I found this size chart on a website and I cut the diamond shapes out and taped it on my finger. It was very helpful, check it out.

@sarsah82: It is always hard to tell what ring will look best on your finger just by looking at pictures. I used to think I wanted a 1.5 ct, but I found that a 1 ct diamond really looked best on my tiny 3.5 ring finger. Why don’t you just pay a visit to your local jewelers and try on a ring or two (there is no harm to say you are just starting to look w/o having to actually commit to buying a ring). A jeweler can also help educate you in the best choice of the 4 Cs within your FI’s budget. This way you’ll know what rings look best on your finger and you can be more confident with what you buy online!
