@lnadinee:  this would infuriate me. I’d want to shake them all and scream I don’t care, look what the love of my life bought for me! Not her!

Seriously though, people are superficial, I’m sure half of them don’t even realise what the’ve done as it’s so easy to make passing comments without thinking. Idiots. Just hope they end up in the same boat one day so you can brush of their excitement just as easily

I’m sorry that happened.  I hope your friends don’t behave this way all of the time.

I don’t think you should really care about this.  Why does it matter what other people think about your ring?

@lnadinee: That’s too bad, but why are you friends with people like this?

@lnadinee:  That is gorgeous!  I would totally rock that rock (lol)!!  It sounds like your friends, nice tho they probably are, just don’t have very good manners.

Manners are a lost art.

@lnadinee: It’s up to you, but I’d hang out with your cool friend one-on-one and distance myself from the ones that aren’t so close. Life’s too short for that much negativity.

People are going to do what they do. They shouldn’t be rude, but if they are, you don’t need to be around it. If you’re around it, don’t be surprised when they’re eventually rude to you. All you can do is stick up for yourself and spend less time with them.

I’m sorry they’re getting under your skin.

Your ring is very lovely!

It also emphasises that you have very nice fingers.

And that’s the point really.  Jewellery is not meant merely to be a beautiful thing in itself.  It is meant to show off the beauty of hands or neck or wrist or even cleavage.

In a materialistic Western society most people won’t gush over a ring that isn’t a huge diamond but they may well be secretly very envious of your beautiful hands.

Your ring is great and fantastically tasteful.  It just happens to be Paris couture rather than Las Vegas bling.

Your friends suck.

Glad you are feeling better though!
