I can’t tell the difference from the photo. I would just assume it was a diamond 🙂

Yes, but not sure most college students could. The size may be more of a tipoff for them, if yours is larger than average for your peer group. If yours is mid-sized for your peer group, I think it will not stand out and be scrutinized, especially just in passing.

@CBWFlove:  It’s beautiful! What is the stone size and how big is your ring size? I would think it was real, but then again I don’t really speculate about other people’s rings.

@CBWFlove:  Congrats!!  You may want to talk to some of the other girls that have Ashas, but I’ve heard they tend to hold up a lot better than most CZs.

I’ve heard that the following will help preserve any stone that is more porus:

1- take it off when you are cleaning – using any cleaning product, including shampoo and soap
2- take it off when you are sleeping
3- take it off when you are sweating/exercising
4- take it off when you are wet – pool, showering, jacuzzi, sauna, etc.

Hope this helps! It’s a gorgeous ring, I would absolutely want to keep it forever too!!

Congrats and beautiful ring!!  I wouldn’t be able to tell…I don’t think most would.  And it would be pointless for me to even want to speculate….because it’s pretty and your engaged!!!  Happy planning 🙂

Most of the time, we scrutinize our own rings far more than anyone else ever would. Nine out of ten people would never know, and the ones that could tell would likely never think to take a hard look at it anyway. Clear or “white” stones will pass the majority of the time with the majority of the people. And the older and the longer married people are? The less anyone except you will notice your ring anyway.

Your ring is absolutely gorgeous; congratulations! As for maintaining it, I agree about removing it to swim in a chlorinated pool and removing it while cleaning anything. Ashas tend to hold up better than most CZs, but it is better to be careful to maintain its beauty for as long as possible.
