Oh my gosh, this is stunning! I absolutely adore the setting, it’s very unique. I don’t know my stuff about diamonds, does M mean low colour? Regardless the appearance is so lovely and warm and twinkly. Congrats!

It is so beautiful.  Something out of a ring magazine.

YES !!

Absolutely gorgeous. Did you ask for claw prongs originally? If so, have you called the jeweler to find out why they didn’t do as you asked? If you asked for and paid for claw prongs I’d at the very least ask for a discount for not doing as they promised! Good luck on your journey and in the meantime, your pear looks absolutely bee-you-ti-ful in that setting!

queenoftheclouds :  Colour of diamonds range from D (completely colourless when put on a white background) to Z (yellow diamond). If her’s is M then it’s a bit yellow. It’s not likely noticable unless you compare it to a much whiter diamond, then it would have a slight yellow hue to it. Price of a diamond is based in part on colour – an E is going to be more expensive than an L where all other factors are the same.

I like the prongs! I know you wanted claw prongs – but these are lovely too. If you want claws it should be no big deal to do – when they re-tip prongs they replace the top of the prong – so it’s just a matter of re-tipping the prongs to a claw shape. I thought maybe they’d used a bezel setting instead of claws when I first read the post. I thought “wow – they really messed that up if they can’t decifer between bezel and prongs!”

plpinkinsa2001 :  awwwww you have a pear!  Beautiful stone and beautiful setting!  My claws on my new ring aren’t like what I thought they’d be either from inspiration pic. Trying to decide if I’m going to send it back and have them redone. . .
