Ok for fun because I should be doing stuff for school
You for some reason are required to pick out a new engagement ring that is totally different from what you have? What would you get? 2 rules:
1) different metal
2) different stone shape
you can go even further out there is you want but you don’t have too!!!
Ive got got a round stone in an antique platinum setting!
What I’d get:

I have a marquise in white gold, no halo.
Its not a different metal, but it’s way different from my ring! Oval Sapphire!

I cant upload pictures at the moment..but I have a princess cut diamond in a halo setting white gold. I would get an OEC diamond or moissy in a antique style solitaire setting with lots of pretty filigree and engraving in platinum!

I have a white gold three stone with a ruby center. I would definitely go for a cushion in rose gold:

I have a cushion moissanite set in palladium with side stones.
I’d get a marquise solitaire set in rose gold. I’d go with moissanite, too, if it’s available in marquise cut.<br />

I have a round brilliant solitaire in yellow gold. Very simple. I think this would probably be my rings opposite

I have a emerald cut blue topaz halo
If I were going opposite I would get a classic Tiffany Ring Bearer solitaire.

I have an emerald cut diamond in a platinum setting with side stones. If I were to go opposite, I would love a round Tiffany solitaire in yellow gold. So timeless and elegant!

I have a round stone in a canary diamond halo setting with yellow and white gold metal. It is art deco inspired, chunky, and has lots of stones on it.
If I were to choose something completely opposite it would be in rose gold, in a modern setting, and probably with emerald cut diamond center and pear side stones.
