I’m so sorry. I would be furious. How are you supposed to trust her to fix it?!

@frommisstomrs.:  I think its really cute that your shoes show.  Especially since you love your shoes so much why not show them off.  No one but you and maybe your grandmother will know it was cut too short.  Everyone else will think it was supposed to be that way.

@frommisstomrs.: Ask for some of your money back and go to a DIFFERENT person to fix it.

I really think a small tulle crinoline would look pretty and fix your problem.

I’m a seamstress and at my shop we keep all fabric we cut off and even give it to the customer at the end of alterations.Hopefully she saved the layers she cut off.It is fixable. There could be other fixes even if she didnt keep the fabric. It does need to be taken in a little more at the hips. Its a very pretty dress btw!

That’s terrible, I’m sorry to hear that. I would ask for the fabric remnants, I think you could have it reattached as an extra tier. I’d also ask for your money back and go to another seamstress, your dress needs additional alterations to make it sit properly – not just an issue of length here.

@frommisstomrs.:  It looks to me like there wasn’t a lot of choice in where to cut it. The band of lace is x” high. That’s where she had to cut.

Your shoes are completely adorable! But you are going to have to find something else.
