I made our cheating chart for the reception yesterday. I have such a huge variety of number of people seated at tables. The largesst being 12 people (the venu guy said it was acceptable) all the way to 6. There are a random variety such as 7, 8, 9. 10. Is this weird? I just can’t see a way to make it work otherwise. Anyone else have this issue and is it even an issue?

Not weird at all. I have anywhere from 8-12 at a table.

This makes me feel better. We have 5-9 per table (supposed to seat 8-10).

lol ok it is just so hard to split up families. And then the table of 6 is my mom’s friends from work. I feel bad because they might feel a little upset that they are only a table of 6, but there was no one left to put there 🙁

This makes me feel a lot better because I’m in the process of trying to put 8 people at each table and it doesn’t make any sense. Good to know it’s not the end of the world if they are a little off from one another.

Mine ranges from 9-12 but the worst thing for me was that we have a main dining room, side room and tables in the bar area. 3 tables have to go in the bar as wel as the side room. I could not figure out who to put in those places and it stressed me out a lot! The seating chart was definitely the most difficult part (and stressful) about planning the whole wedding!!!!
I have a great tool that Ive used though and it is SOOO helpful – I highly reommend it to all brides!
