A few months ago, one of my friends called to say that our local Target had a lot of invite kits on clearance, and that she wanted to let me know because I’m getting married (she’s awesome!). At that point, I hadn’t really given much thought to planning the actual wedding- I didn’t have colors, a theme, a plan for what my invites should look like, or anything. I went to look, anyway, and found a set I liked. They were marked down to $7.50 per box (of 50 invites), and included a card for the invite, a reception card, and an envelope for each. At that price, I figured I may as well pick them up and see what Fiance thought. Luckily, he really liked them!
I’ve just finished my first printed mock-up, and have included pics below (please ignore the poor job blurring names- I have no photoshop skills). The website card isn’t a perfect match because it wasn’t a part of this set, but I think it goes just fine, since both have a Damask pattern on them.
What do you think? Do they look too crowded? Do the fonts work together? I like them so far, but need some feedback!

wow 7.50 for a pack of 50? GREAT FIND!! I think they look good, and even though the other card doesn’t match 100% it still fits in well, especially since you have the pink (red?) font on it.

Thanks, ladies! A little positive reinforcement goes a long way for me!
@butterflylover– I’m glad to hear people loved your card! I was a little concerned that people would be confused, but my Fiance and I thought this was so great, we decided to go for it.

I think they look fantastic! Not too wordy… not too crowded and the fonts look great together! Awesome job! I found a similar clearance sale at our Target and although we our invites already, we got nice Thank You cards for $1.50/50 pack!

What is the name of the non-swirly font you used? I love it! I am having a hard time picking out a non-fancy/swirly font for my invites.
You got a GREAT deal on those. I love the pink! You did a great job on them!!

Thanks, everyone! I was a little afraid tey were too crowded, or that the fonts didn’t gp together as well as I thought they did- glad to hear I’m just over-thinking this one!
For anybody curious (I know NDBride2011 asked), the non-fancy font I used is Maiandra GD. This link shows what it looks like and allows you to purchase it, but I think it came with Office 2007, because I do not remember downloading it (and would not have paid that much). The swirly font is Albermarle Swash. You can download it from here, or view and buy the whole Albermarle family of fonts here.
