Well, my wedding day is 6 weeks away and I am having a shoe dilema. If I could have it my way I would go for a nice pair of flip flops. You know white ones with a little bit of shinyness on the top. I love wearing flip flops and just know I would feel comfortable in them. On the other hand I keep hearing that I should not wear them because they aren’t that classy and they will be seen when my husband is going to take the garter off.
I got myself a pair of strappy sandals last weekend but in all honesty I don’t like them very much. Good thing I can return them.
I would love to hear some input.

get what you want.
The only thing I’ve heard against flip flops is for outside/beach weddings b/c they can flip up dirt.
I think even if/when anyone sees them it will be fine. I mean brides are wearing everything from cowboy boots, flats, heals, to tennis shoes, chucks and everything in between =)

I agree….I think it’s important to be comfortable.
Besides there are lots of fancy flip flops 🙂

Definitely wear the flip flops! I don’t think it’ll look weird when it comes time for the garter toss, not at all.

I know lots of brides wear flip flops or ballet shoes to be comfortable, but I am a shoe girl. I am an addicted-to-fabulous-high heel-sexy shoe girl. I say, save the fip flops for the mall and wear nice shoes for the wedding.Or…….. if you are more of a casual, comfy shoe girl, yet concerned about when he takes off the garter, simply slip on some high heels, or low heals (even cheap ones– who cares if they are comfortable if you are only wearing them for a few minutes!) right before the garter toss, then change back. This is just my opinion and in the end it only matters what you want. Either way, you will be fabulous!

I was thinking that flip flops would be fun, and I had even bought a pair, but I wasn’t super happy with them cuz they didn’t have enough “bling,” and any that did have a lot of bling I fond to be tacky. Then I randomly found a pair of awesome $15 low heels that were white and comfortable, and I’m like…those are my shoes.
And I was wondering if wearing flip flops is one of those things that sounds like a really awesome idea, but then in 20 years when you look back on your pictures you’re like, “what was I thinking?”
but really, do whatever you’re comfortable in. If you have time, then I would suggest keep shopping until you find some shoes that you LOVE, whether they are flip flops or not!
