Do a test before, but I do a lot of work with fabric flowers and I find that “slightly” burning the edges stops the fraying.

The best way to tidy up frayed fabric is actually to carefully burn the frayed thread off with a lighter. Just don’t set anything on fire 🙁

@coffeegal85:  Ah. Well, in all honesty, this may be one of those “just let it go” type of things that ONLY the bride (you) would notice … and that’s if you even notice. I think my cake table had petals on it too. I bought the petals, and put them on the table, but I’m still not really sure they were there. You won’t notice. Smile  Melting the edges one by one sounds so tedious I’m getting aggravated FOR you and I’m not even the one doing it!
