I would just assume that this is her way of dealing with the stress of her wedding. I’m sure once her wedding is over she’ll be back to her “old self.” If not, it’s time for a heart-to-heart! 🙂

I’d talk to her, that way if there is an issue you can get over it before the wedding and have a great time with her.

@rljohnso14: Hmmm, well seing as you and your Darling Husband basically got married and then high-tailed it across the ocean for a year and a half… maybe she has feelings of resentment? Like she helped so much for your wedding and now you’re not “there” (physically) for her? I’d get her drunk and have her spill her guts but I’m sneaky like that.

Well first it sounds like you need to get a hold of her, then ask to meet her somewhere just you two.  Push the issue if you have to, offer to make it work for her.  Then just lay it all out, tell her exactly how you feel.  Tell her to be honest, but also be willing to take her honesty.  It sounds like you two had a great relationship before, so you know you already get along.  It will work out and who knows maybe she is just “stressed” from the wedding, all women handle stress differently.  Good luck!!

Maybe she will just be stressed out and you two can have a laugh about the misunderstanding 🙂

I agree that you should really have a heart to heart with her. If she is acting this way, obviously there is a reason. I hate to ask this, but did you do anything to make her act this way? It seems really from left field, but unless there’s something wrong with her mentally, there’s no logical reason behind this.

I would hear her out and see what’s causing her behavior.

good luck!!
