My skin is a lot better bump wise. I have applied aloe vera and am hoping for the best. The extraction really made my skin freak out but it is healing. now i don’t have to worry about under the skin bumps peeping out pre wedding.

I have very sensitive acne-prone skin. I used to use differin, retin-a, etc. Now I take off my makeup using bioderma crealine, wash with good ole clean & clear exfoliating wash, and moisturize with embroylisse liat-creme. If i have acne that’s rearing its ugly head, I’ll use avene cicalfate (which has zinc in it). those two creams are worth their weight in gold, plus embroylisse is in every makeup artist’s bag because it primes your face beautifully.

Believe it or not, Retin-A is like magic as a spot cream. You wouldn’t have to put it on your whole face, just on the active zits. You would need to make an appointment with your doctor to get a prescription. I use mine for wrinkles but I discovered that I never break out when I use it every day, when I stop using it I break out again. It might be too drying to experiment on your whole face so close to your wedding but it might work wonders for just spot treating.

Definitely focus on a healthy diet and minimize greasy foods! Another thing that helps me is a little Vitamin D, whether it be outside or a couple of trips to the tanning bed. I know that tanning isn’t good for us, but it does make for a clear face and glowing color.

Everyone’s skin is different, but this works for me and many others. Does your face clear at the beach? Mine does and I use sea salt on my face every day. LIFESAVER!
Mix sea salt in filtered or spring water (I don’t measure it, maybe about 1-1 1/2 tablespoon… shit ton of salt! Lol), you don’t need a whole cups worth. I usually fill a mug about 1/4 with water. Warm it up for 25-30 seconds. Spread on with a cotton ball and leave on for at least 15mins. Rinse and do your skin cake regime as you usually do.

You’ve gotten some good advice so far…and it sounds like you’re healing alright, I’m happy for you!!
Just a thought in case you get any other unwanted “visitors” as you get closer to the wedding. If you can swing the cost (usually between $50-100) and have a dermatologist nearby, you can get a cortisone injection to clear up any big zits. It works- they’ll be gone within 48 hours. I have had a life long battle with my skin and I can sympathize with your frustration! Cortisone shots have been my savior many times over in the past!
