Okay, about a year ago I started noticing my hunny’s scalp was showing a bit.. understandable, he’s 36, and his older brother has a huge bald spot. I didn’t want to say anything to him about it, since his ex wife many years ago played a prank on him, telling him he was going bald- even had her friends in on it, and for pretty much 6 months, he was convinced he was loosing all his hair (ya, evil, I know)
anyway, I never said anything to him about what I’ve noticed. Today he made a comment that he did see it was thinning, and after I pet his ego for awhile, he wants to try rogaine or somthing to help.
Anyone actually have any exsperience with this product? I was reading up on it, and it seems too good to be true, and I really dont want to shell out $50 a month to test it out- thats e-ring/ wedding money!

Rogaine helps to a degree, but there’s not a ton most men can do about hair loss. Unless he’s really self conscious about it, embrace the bald!

Fiance has been losing his hair since before I met him… when we were sixteen. He went on Rogain during our senior year after a recommendation from his older brother. It helped his hair, but the other results were not pretty. His sex drive took a complete nosedive. We weren’t sexually active at the time, but it was all I could do just to get him to kiss me deeply. I know it sounds weird, but we had a very, very healthy sex life without actually ever having sex back then, if that makes any sense. It just went up in smoke after the Rogain, though.
He was stressed, which may have been another factor, but Rogain is known to sometimes affect the sex drive, and I think the meds were the main factor when he lost his. He’s recently started talking about going back on it (he’s really self-conscious about the growing bald spot, unfortunately), but I’ve been begging him not to because I will become pretty seriously depressed if he stops being interested in sex again. It was so awful.

Men who are bald have more testosterone than men who aren’t. It’s a genetic thing and there is not much you can do about it!
I agree with KatyElle – embrace the bald.
My Darling Husband is balding and I’m perfectly happy with it. He, however, is having a harder time coming to terms with it!

rogaine will not help regrowth- just helps slow the process. i say embrace it! my bf just buzzes it and i love it!

Fiance has been losing hair since he was sixteen. Honestly he just embraces it and when it gets really bad he will just start shaving his head bald.

My Fiance is balding and I actually like it! I think he looks so good with his head shaved. Some girls I used to be friends with would sometimes make nasty comments about the fact that he is balding but I never cared. I thought it was sexy! 🙂

@GreenEyedMoon: hmmm…. Sex vs Hair. Some how I dont think his hair will ever get me off!!
@Legallyblondiebride: I’ve seen him with a shaved head, and lemme tell ya, it is NOT a good look for him XD
Thanks so much for the advice guys, I really don’t have a problem with him going bald, I just feel so bad for him! He’s been so tramatized about it, and I dont know how bad his older brother is since I have never seen him with out his trusty ball cap! I’ll just do my best to make sure he knows I still think he’s the hottest guy around.
